The reality is that it takes about 30 minutes to really get this done. Installing the tire takes maybe 5 minutes, but then theres the rest. Installing the throttle, installing the display, tightening everything and cleaning up. Not bad by any means but not 5 minutes either. Also, theres no way this get 37 miles. Maybe it it were power assisting or if you went 5-8 MPH but if you are pressing the throttle down, which is probably how most will use it, youll get MAYBE 15 miles.
OMG. What a thrill! My bike is an old beach cruiser hybrid. I didn’t think this kit would work. Did a tune up on some basics that were necessary and put it all together in about 30 minutes. Not bad for a soon to be 65 year old woman. Before you know it I was off and running. I’ve always been active in sports and just wanted something to help me stay healthy and moving. I've been riding around town and at the beach and loving every minute of it. So far no issues. Don’t be afraid to talk to Customer Service they will answer all your questions and very kind.
Went on quick and easy and worked great. The only design issue is there was not enough documentation and guidance on now the switch acorn nut is used to activate the wheel. When I fully removed the nut, two rubber washers fell out along with the metal pin. Once I reassembled everything and learned the technique of hand tightening and then loosening it a few turns to activate the switch, it made more sense and is working. Please add that part to your instructional videos. Thanks.
So far it's operating as expected and advertised. No complaints or issues. It's an all around nice ride assist feature. I am glad I purchased this electric wheel kit upgrade for my bike
So far, so good! Bought this kit to add to my 2 year old bike. At 63 years old, I bought my wife an electric bike so we could ride together, and found that I had a hard time keeping up with her - especially on the hills. Researched buying an electric myself, but I love my bike - so I am glad I tried this. Great assist when wanted, but I still get a workout when I want. I have not tried all of the modes, but so far, I love this!
Before having the e-switchy I frequently used my Treck bicycle to get to and from work. I've always wanted more oomph for going faster or up hills. I sprung for the e-switchy two because I needed to have a removable battery that I could take inside away from the frigid temperatures the bike might be left out in. The kit arrived packed in a nice box. I'm pretty tool savy but it took me a lot longer than it was supposed to for me to assemble it. There's two options for a throttle that it comes with. I decided to go with the wired manual one. It's one less device for me to charge and with how I ride I either want the motor on or off and don't need all the special features. It comes with this extension thing for attaching the throttle if there's no more room on your handlebars but if you use it then your thumb won't be able to reach it. Instead what I did was cut off an inch of my right handlebar grip with a chop saw. Then I slid the throttle on to the bar with the grip. My thumb now reaches the throttle perfectly. The power and range work as advertised. I'm able to use higher gear settings both when I'm on a flat surface or ascending a huge hill. I of course still have to shift the bike into a much lower setting and pedal to get up a hill but I don't have to do it in the lowest setting like I used to. The whole thing isn't that heavy, I can still lift the bike up with the battery installed. My one gripe so far that even when you follow the instructions the 700c wheel I got isn't centered between the two forks on the front of the bike. I don't think this is an issue besides how the front rim breaks land on it, which is important. I got some special washers I'm hoping to space the wheel to where it needs to be. I'd recommend this product to whoever is interested.
The install on my Hase trike was fairly straightforward. The riding experience is better than expected. Some of the details on the video and instructions were a little ambiguous, including the app instructions, but customer service was surprisingly responsive. Battery life is equal or better than claimed. After a lot of research, I'm convinced I got the best-priced and better-quality kits available.
This was a gift for my husband BD which he literally said, this is the best gift I ever got for him! He was so happy as he always wanted a little project to make on his favorite bike. He rides all day and everyday! he is very happy with the performance he is getting. No complaints, so far we've had a smooth transaction. I always stayed away from anything that has to do with mechanics but since I don't have a reliable commute to work I decided to try something new this year and took a leap of faith to install this kit on my beloved bike! I DID IT! It took me a couple of tries but overall pretty easy installation, just follow the video and you'll be fine. Good notes on the paper installation guide as well, I am so proud of myself YAAAY! I wanna say it took me a solid 15-20 minutes and I am loving my bike now.
Installation is very simple, took me less than 10 minutes, to swap the wheel and install the battery, the settings on the app actually took me a bit longer because i took my time to make sure everything is set up correctly. The performance is awesome, I pushed 30 miles and still had 20% battery remaining, I am pretty sure on my next ride I can clear 40+ miles range since my assist level is not that high and I am mostly using pedal assist vs throttle power only. The kit is very light making it very convenient to carry around with me anywhere.

Thanks for your comment. As discussed over a phone call with our E-Switchy team. They have explained that the distance and speed will be affected by multiple factors such as rider body weight, bike weight, road slope and conditions, throttle power vs pedal assist power and percentage power set will all play an effect on the range and speed.
Have not had an opportunity to make this conversion due to cold weather and recovering from a respiratory illness. But will submit a review in the coming weeks.

E-Switchy's Switch Two has turned my daily commute into an enjoyable ride. The mileage using pedal assist range is perfect for city travel, including hills! Yes where I live there are lots of hills and steep ones. I haven’t found a hill that this kit did not go over, I do sometimes pull cargo as well on my bike and load up my bike rack with groceries, still I am able to get over any hill grade so far. The battery is very light, removable battery makes charging easy. The battery and accessories I think adds about 12lb to my bike which is also nice in case you run out of battery you can still pedal your way home. The USB charging port is an excellent addition as well as the secure lock adds an extra layer of security, making it the ideal choice for urban commuters.

Having e-bike capability without having to purchase a whole new bike is great! Also, it doesn’t add much weight to my bike, so even with the added weight of the motor and battery, the result is far lighter than a full e-bike.
